Erik Nording is Denmark's number one pipe master and one of the world's premier pipe carvers. He is one of the Danish pioneers to introduce what is called the Danish Freehand style. Nording's sweeping, natural lines and finishes contrast with the rigidly uniform, “man-made” look of conventional pipes. Valhalla is the vast and glorious banquet hall of Norse mythology and inspiration for Erik Nording's Valhalla Spigot 350 Series. According to legend, the heroes who die in combat are retrieved from the battlefield by the Valkyries and taken to Valhalla to serve the god and ruler Odin in future epic battles. These handmade 350 Series pipes are finished in a rich, earthy reddish-brown/black matte stain and artfully sandblasted to dramatic effect. Stamped "Handmade by Erik Nording" and capped with a metal mount to accept an acrylic push stem with metal-covered tenon, the Valhalla Spigot 350 Series is worthy of Odin himself.
