SPECIAL NOTE: One of our best sellers for nearly a decade, we were disappointed to recently learn that Aldo Pierluigi has permanently closed his family business in Italy and Mastro Beraldi pipes will no longer be produced. We're bidding these remaining pipes a fond farewell at a discounted price in hopes that a pipe smoker who truly appreciates both Aldo's artistry and owning a piece of history will acquire one. Since the 1970's, Mastro Beraldi pipes have been handcrafted in Rome by Aldo Pierluigi and, more recently, his son Andrea using the techniques and tools of true pipe-making artisans. Made from high grade, select Italian briar that is carefully aged, Mastro Beraldi pipes are beautifully turned entirely by hand, not fraised using templates, and finished with ecologically-friendly watercolor stains. The stems are made of molded ebonite or acrylic, which are hand-finished and internally strengthened with a special pin to protect against breakage. The banding and trimwork are individually designed to complement each unique pipe with spectacular results. Given the quality of the materials used and the care and detail the Pierluigis apply to each pipe, it is remarkable how affordable these handmade gems are. The pipe images displayed below represent the actual pipes for sale. Each pipe is stamped "Mastro Beraldi" and "Italy" and a dimpled silver dot is embedded in the stem. A suede pipe pouch is included with your purchase.
